路透社资深记者：中国历史和文化的实况演出

    英国人，路透社资深记者。常驻中国报道体育及奥运。热爱中国。近些年来，他的报道领域几乎涉及到所有的体育运动项目。　　2004年我去过雅典奥林匹亚体育场现场目睹了雅典奥运会的开幕式，但是我必须要说那并没有鸟巢带给我如此强烈的印象。

    搜狐体育讯 开幕式的演出是由中国最著名的电影导演张艺谋执导的。据说他花了足足两年多来琢磨剧本。太极拳和舞蹈图画的表现真是太精彩了。许多对中国历史与文化感兴趣甚至痴迷的西方人好好地观看了一场美妙的实况演出。一位中国记者告诉我演出开始阶段几千人打击的那种鼓叫做缶，中国人的祖先早在2000多年前就开始使用这种打击乐器了，真是难以置信。

　　我看到许多人被那个大足印的烟火表演所震惊，这是亮点。当看到我的同胞莎拉·布莱曼和中国最著名的歌手刘欢一起演唱主题歌“你和我”的时候我感到非常高兴。这是英国的骄傲，选择布莱曼是个正确的决定，她在中国和全世界都有许多的歌迷。

　　最令人兴奋的时刻无疑就是圣火点燃。我原本认为会是许海峰，因为他是中国在奥运会历史上的第一块金牌的获得者，但是作为历史上最成功的体操选手，李宁最终被选为点燃圣火的人。用钢丝吊在空中奔跑需要李宁足够强壮和具备足够的体力，所以作为退役的体操名将，他应该是最佳选择。看到他的场景，我是如此的震撼和兴奋。有些中国人告诉我李宁在空中就像一个神仙，在英语中可以理解为精灵。

　　马克·福斯特是英国代表团的旗手，我采访他时，他称这是他在奥运会上赢得的最大一块金牌。我想说的是这个开幕式是中国在北京奥运会上赢得的第一块和最大的一块金牌。太美妙了，2012年的伦敦奥运会将会非常艰难去创造不同的印象。中国政府太有钱了，伦敦可不会有那么多的预算。或许安排许多儿童表演者是个好主意，我们应该创造些特殊的东西，就象巨石阵的模型。这是英国可以展现给世界的古典元素。

　　I'd been to 2004 Athens Olympic Games for the opening ceremony in the Olympia Stadium but I have to say it didn't bring me so much impression as in Bird's Nest.

　　The performance was directed by ZhangYiMou, the most famous film director of China. It's reported that he spent over 2 years for the script job. The Taiji show and dancing painting are really fantastic. Many westerns crazy or interested in the Chinese history and civilisation watched a wonderful live show. One Chinese journalist told me the ancient drum played in the beginning is called FOU, the Chinese ancestors played it over 2000 years ago, incredible.

　　I saw many people were shocked by the footprint fireworks. Yes, it's the highlight. I was so delighted when Sarah Brightman, my countrywoman singing the theme song You and Me with Liu Huan, the top singer of China. It's the proud of England and proved to be right to choose Brightman since she's said to have quite a lot of fans in China and worldwide.

　　The most exciting moment is absolute the flame lighting. I thought XuHaiFeng to be the lighter since he is the first gold medalist of China in Summer Olympic Games history but as the most successful gymnast in history, Li Ning is chosen to be the lighter. The wired running in the air needs Li Ning to be strong and energetic enough so a gymnast is best choice. I was so impressed and excited to see that. Some Chinese told me that Li Ning was like a Shen Xian which means immortal in English.

　　Mark Foster is the flag director of Great Britain and he said it's the biggest gold medal he won at the Games. I want to say that the opening ceremony is the first and biggest gold medal China won at Beijing Olympic Games. So terrific, 2012's London will be so hard to make different impression. Chinese government is so rich and London doesn't have so much money, maybe lots of children performers is a good idea and we should make something special, like the model of Stonehenge. It's the ancient we can show to the world.
