　　Games Codes

　　Games Codes are the primary authority listing of codes and related terminology (in English & French) required in various Games Systems applications in the Olympic Games. They are required to ensure that computer applications refer to the correct thing, place, person or activity and focus on information required across multiple Functional Areas. Some of the codes are set by the IOC and external organisations, while others will be unique to the host city, such as the Venue Codes. Examples include the names and associated codes of countries, languages, venues, sports, disciplines, events, and functional areas.
