搜狐体育讯 Andrew Wong started his photographic career with Reuters in Hong Kong in 1985, having left University to pursue his interest in photography. Wong’s work in photojournalism has seen him work across a number of cities including Hong Kong, London, Singapore, and Beijing, where he is now based. Wong has covered a range of stories including three Olympic Games, tennis at the Australian Open & Wimbledon, World Cup Soccer and Cricket, in addition to the Soviet Occupation of Afghanistan, military coups in Asia, and major political stories from Britain, South-East Asia and China. In his early days as a photographer, Wong was inspired by W Eugene Smith and Henri Cartier-Bresson. Over his 20 years in the industry, Wong has been recognized as an industry authority, judging the World Press Photo Award on two occasions.
